Breathe In. Breathe Out...The only problem was I never could.
Prologue

Breathe In. Breathe Out. Breathe In. Breathe Out...The only problem was I never could. It felt like being trapped under water, struggling to hold your breath, until you break through the surface and gasp for air, releasing the tightness in your chest. Panic, would normally be the first reaction, you expect from me, but all I wanted was to escape.

Escape from what? Mostly memories, of red flashing lights, and loud sirens blasting past me. My parents being held back by officers as they cover, my brother's body with a blood stained white sheet. Their shriek cry’s of pain piercing my ears, begging for him to wake up.

That was two months ago; so me having a asthma attack on the day of his funeral, when I’m suppose to be giving a speech, proved to be most irrational timing.

Chapter One

Due to my 'irrational timing', my parent's hastily decided that sending me away to live with Aunt Doreena, would benefit everyone. Appalled by their idea, knowing that Aunt Doreena was 'insanely' bipolar, I instantly argued against their irrelevant decision.

“Alex, you don’t have a say in the matter.” My father firmly spoke.

“Yeah which is why Adrian...” I stopped and looked at my parents.

“What about Adrian?” My father quickly asked trying to pry the last few words from me.

“What are you hiding, Alex?” My mother screeched, when I refused to answer my father.

“Keira.” My father softly said, pulling her into his embrace.

“NO! She was there.” She yelled jerking out of his embrace, “She knows what happen to my son. She just hides everything.”

“I'm just going to get ready.” I awkwardly stated, watching my mother breakdown sobbing into her arms sliding down the wall.

Grabbing a pile of clothes from the floor, I slipped past my parents, and headed into the bathroom. Seeing my reflection, in the mirror, I looked like hell. My dark brown hair was a untamed frizzy mess. Dark circles
