A poem I wrote for the ceremony |
Clair and Paul are here with us, To celebrate on their big day. A chance for them to declare their love, In this very special way. She says she loves his kindness And his patience is a must And of course she thinks he’s handsome Which in her eyes is a plus! She has her little oddities, Dancing and acting like a fool But he clearly thinks the world of her, He's found himself a jewel. He’s a very active person Exercising every day She'd rather just sit and read And often gets her way! He wines her and dines her Home cooked dinners and the like He knows her favourite food And spoils her day and night! She’s thoughtful when he looks at her A smile upon his face. Will he look that good in 50 years, When his dentures aren't in place?! They go on many holidays, World travel is their thing. Experiencing all life has to offer, From now on with a ring. It's clear for all to see, They love their time together And I hope, as I'm sure you do That this day will last forever. It's obvious to those around them, Their love is right and true A perfect match has been found. And cemented with "I do" He’ll be more than just her husband He’ll also be her friend, And she’ll be more than just his wife She’s be his soul mate ‘till the end. |
