As a poet I always try to go to the strangest places my mind will take me. So here I am. |
-Kissing Wolves- by Keaton Foster Creature Will you Come here I need you I wish you No harm Just pleasure I mean you no ill Just a cheap thrill That is all That is needed All that is desired A quicker kiss A touching of lips A satisfying smooch Then I’ll scoot Kissing wolves Insane the idea Death ensnared No real chance Could I stand And I know What you’re asking Thinking inside Why would anyone Want touch lips With a wolf A verbose predator Brought back From the edge That could easily Turn me into prey Rip me From limb to limb Take my face off With just a snap Of its gruesome jaw Kill me quite dead Then eat me From end to end Digesting All that’s good Leaving the rest For the buzzards Why would anyone Want to smooch Lock lips With a wolf It makes no sense It’s damn near nuts More than likely to result In a gruesome death Kissing wolves Cheap thrills Are easy to come by Dangerous spectacles Are what some of us Have come to live by I want to be closer Than is comfortable To my certain death I’ve kissed a bear Hugged a few lions Even tickled a hyena Just to hear him laugh I’ve put my head In the dangerous end Of more than a few Apex predators And lived to speak of it I’ve always been afraid Scarred to death But such a fear Has done nothing To stop me from What is logically next Kissing wolves Clearly I am a man That has a death wish But then again Maybe I just a man Who loves nature Probably more Then he should… Kissing Wolves Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
