this is just a short story. opinions are always welcome
The scarecrow stood watch over the field as another day came to an end. In the field were pumpkins that varied in size some were small; while others were large or medium. Some of the pumpkins even came in unusual colors. It was near Halloween night so everyone, but the new family in town was coming to gather several pumpkins to decorate their front yards.
A young girl hung out the window looking as the sky changed from a clear blue to a clear dark night. She looked to be about sixteen years of age, was about five nine, and had to weigh only about one hundred and ninety pounds. She had just moved from California to this new town. It was a move that she hadn’t even wanted to partake in. Sure rumors had been started that she and her family were witches, but what proof did the people really have. As soon as her parents heard the rumors they up and moved making it seem as if they were true.
It was her sixteenth birthday and she felt sick, nauseas almost. The world seemed as if things weren’t the same almost as if something off about her. She hadn’t been downstairs and didn’t feel like going. There was this part of her that just wanted to grab a broom, climb on it and fly away, yet she knew that was just a fantasy she wanted. Before she knew it a broom was in her hand and she mounted it and was out the window within seconds.
Flying was something that turned out to be real relaxing and to take the stress of the move away and was much needed. Within seconds I was back in my room with a smile on my face.
