As we stretch and rise
The day unrolls before us
Full of joy and surprise
Amidst the roses and weeds of our garden.

We can sit in dispair
Bemoaning the lost chances of yesterday
Or look forward to promises not yet ours
As in the promise of tomorrow we play

But this wonderful gift of God
We greet in joy or sorrow
Is all we have,as in Gods hand
We let him create eternity
starting with now,Not tomorrow

So meet him in his day
And accept his true gift
The life His son won for us
Will shine on all we see
As to him our hearts and hands we lift.
