A Diatribe Against The Maddening World

Life comes at me full throttle
There is no chance to breathe
My life force is stifled
I fear I will suffocate...
Anxiety builds
Sending me into
Paralyzing fits
That leave me shaky
And unable to focus.
I can sit here and let it happen
Let it overwhelm me
Leave me a lump of oozing puss...
Or I can take up my pen
And fight back.

With my trusty pen
Or my fingers on a keyboard
I can reconnect to that inner part,
That inner part that needs saving
From the demands the world makes.
It may seem vulnerable
And alone, it is...
But when it reconnects with my trusty pen
Things break open;
Thoughts take flight
Emotions surge and find their voice;
What was lost in the siege of demands
Is refocused into viper concentration.

I learn what is necessary
And I write my way back
Back into my Self.
I write my way back
Into wholeness
Into plenty
Into productivity
The dominating society wants to crush me.
Me with my writing...
We are a powerful force.
I am able to kick off the bullies that try to silence me...

Writing helps me find my Light
And that light helps me to guide others
Teaching them and showing them
That writing is the way
My way
To reconnect
And find my source and my survival
Through this crazy, messed up world
That threatens my sanity.
I am
A Writer.
