A strange encounter
After the taxi dropped her outside the American Airlines terminal, Meredith piled her luggage on to a luggage trolley, paid the driver and rushed toward the terminal.

"Damn!" she mumbled as she tried to maneuver the trolley, a broken wheel making it impossible to keep it from veering away from her.

Between sitting in traffic for an hour, and this stupid trolley, I wonder if the fates are telling me not to take this job, Meredith thought right before the trolley jerked forward and sent one of her suitcases soaring, almost hitting one of passengers, who looked like he had his own troubles trying to figure out the self check in machine.

"Oh my God, I am so sorry." Meredith said, as she rushed to pick up her now strewn clothes off the cold tiled floor, and get them back in to the suitcase before this stranger got a close up view of her not so flattering unmentionables.

The dark haired man smiled an easy smile and said "You know you didn't have to go through all this fuss to get my attention. I noticed you outside cursing out the luggage cart. At first I thought you were talking to me and I was just about to let you have a piece of my mind, but then I saw you were talking to the cart and I figured oh she's just crazy and went on my merry way.
