I watch the dandelions bloom.
They scatter on the wind and zoom
like tiny dancers, lifting high
to twirl and swirl upon the sky.
I see them dance without a care
while floating free up in the air
until, at last, they must descend.
Their joyful dance comes to an end.
I watch them circle ‘round my head
and land within Mom’s flower bed
among the marigolds and sage
like little dancers on a stage.
Small ballerinas dressed in white.
They sparkle in the morning light,
slowly turning in the breeze …
and all because they made me (achoo!) sneeze.
