The Tell Tale Boy

Edgar Pope, as his name implies, is an unusual child. His hair is a morose shade of black, and his skin is impossibly pale. Edgar's parents are not poor, but they are inattentive, barely noticing Edgar's presence, sometimes he has to remind them that he has not been fed , or that he needs money for lunch. so his clothes are usually too small, his pants crawling up to his shin, to reveal his old or out of date, and these oddities do not go unnoticed by Edgar's sixth grade classmates.
