Awakening, the world's glory revealed,
as we arise from heaven's mystic sleep,
discovering what darkness has concealed;
patterns of light as time's hands onward sweep.
At first, the moments seem to slowly creep
but gather up momentum with each day.
We learn to sow and, in the end, we reap
the sweet and bitter blooms of life's bouquet.
With faith, we learn to hold our fears at bay.
The universe, in all its majesty,
offers no comfort with its grand display,
only a whispered word: infinity.
A shining moment that has lost its gleam;
Too soon we fade into an endless dream.
