As they step aboard that
golden-nosed plane
excited whispers
fill the air

Tales of Paralympics
past and gone
as old timers trek
down memory lane

First timers bask
in excited wonder
Expectations of what
lies ahead unclear

This four-year voyage
draws to an end
One final climb
to the height of glory
