I Awoke - To The Dark of Night

I awoke sleeping in a dream,
lying there standing up.

Surrounded by darkness bathed in moonlight.

Struggling to be free,
drifting on an unseen sea.

Above and below apparitions passing endlessly.

Groping at nothing holding animated props,
the deafening noise as a single pin drops.

A woman with red hair shimmering gold.

Clothed in nakedness draped in virgin white,
framed by an emerald green armored knight.

Such things don't happen in the light?

I could see through eyes closed tight,
the dream broke to the dark of night.
