I’d Gladly Share This Dream


I dream a field of daffodils
With fawns that prance in play.
With butterflies that dance the wind
And songbirds sing each day.

I wish to have a cottage there
Whose view is that afore.
Is shaded by some old oak trees
Where the squirrels can gather store.

I’d like to have a picket fence
That lines the walkway through.
To walk a cobbled stone each morn
And take in that is new.

I’d like to share this dream of mine,
A dream that could come true.
And if you would, I’d gladly share;
This dream, I would, with you.
