An escape from this place and from my fear is long past due. |
-The Division- by Keaton Foster The division A mission Finding a way Beyond the gate Outside these walls Blind are the guards Empty are their minds Statues quite refined They hold nothing Possessing no method Of catching me But in this place And in this way I have long since Remained Contained by fear My mind A wilderness defined There are creatures Impossible dangers They wish me harm From the inside Always clawing Behind my eyes Often digging Into my spine No greater Could I bleed Hemorrhaging All that is belief The division Separating my enemies From greater calamities Breaking up What I can survive And what I will not Letting all else know That at least for a time That I was right here Fighting the best fight Destroying many enemies While further obliterating My own precious sanity The division A mission Finding a way Beyond the gate Outside these walls Out there Opposing here There must be salvation A grace period Between existing And no longer being I’ll do what I must What I always have Certainly I have been contained Kept right here By a deeper fear By a greater idea One beyond my own sanity One far past my own reality No longer will it be I am going to escape Make my way No matter where It is that I end up I’ll be content With being in a place Or greater difference The division Those guards up high With no weapon Or as to why Can no longer Contain me here Beyond the gate Outside these walls I am ready to go I am ready to flee Fear will no longer Keep me here… The Division Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2008-2017. |
