| Hi everyone and welcome to the 12th annual PreQuills, celebrating the best of Writing.com from 2018! Today we are announcing the finalists in 8 categories and we'll be announcing the winners of 19 genre categories!  The final Quill ceremony will be on 13th April at 2:30pm WDC time and we’ll then announce the remaining Quill Award winners. In total we'll have 50 Quill winners! If you miss any of the results, they'll be posted in the newsfeed. Just a reminder that you can post messages here and also listen to/watch the live chat. There is also a Quills discussion happening in the Writing.com Discord if you’re on there. Right, has everyone been to the bathroom?  I'll announce the eight lots of finalists first, and then we’ll do our 19 genre winners and HMs. Quill rules state that any category with more than 20 nominations has 5 or so nominations selected as finalists. These are based on the results of the judging, or of the voting YOU did if it's a genre category. The reason we had a lot more categories with finalists last year was simply because we had more nominations.
