Trying to interpret the wind.
Listen to the Wind

Listen to the wind and tell me,
what do you hear her whispering?
Is it stories and songs from years ago,
when life was simple and free?

Or is she screaming at the top of her lungs,
into a crowded street where no one hears?
Is she begging for someone to notice
that she is there – unable to speak our language?

Feel the wind on your face as you walk;
is it gentle and peaceful, a caressing touch?
or is the wind blowing fiercely, tossing
trees and objects into the air to be carried away?

Only you can interpret the wind for yourself;
and follow wherever she may lead you.
Do you hear a gentle song in your soul,
or is it screaming in fear and sorrow?

Listen to the wind and tell me,
are you able to hear her words?
Does she sing songs from years ago,
bringing back memories that are cherished?
