This isn't one of my better poems, but hopefully I get good criticism so I can improve? |
March time, march We march, fight, move towards the future Not knowing what may come As such, we praise those who are prophetic or clairvoyant Ask for guidance in what our future holds Yet why? March time, march When we can see what tomorrow holds We see and choose to ignore We hear, but close our ears We feel and yet, close our hearts To the struggle and pain March time, march It’s everywhere in the world When you see the poverty of thousands And you hear the screams of rebellion for those met with injustice And demons in human form walk the earth And corruption is everywhere in the world March time, march So we fight for the future But what are we fighting for? March time, march I’ll tell you I’ll suggest A friendly reminder of what we should do As friends and family As humans on this earth Nothing more Nothing less March time, march We shall not stand for injustice Women will have equal rights Children will be warmed and fed People of color will not be subject to hate crimes We will protest We will raise the flag that means peace We will fight for the future we want March time, march We will decide our tomorrow It will not be stained with blood and corruption Yet Filled with the hope and trust of others But to do so We must MARCH |
