Alone, in plain sight I lie.

In view of all, in view of her, skin on skin, alone.

None to see, to know, to dream, to think.

Whether mad or great, indifference cannot say. Does it matter anyway?

But, ah, to be conjoined, enjoined on mission great or small ...but why dream of what cannot be?

The wait is not: deferred resignation until approaches naught but the night of quiet, alone.
