blissful start

as morning light
streams through sheer pale curtains,
the smell of brewing coffee beans
slowly makes its dance up winding stairs.

a hesitant break
from the sleeping world,
feet touch the cold hardwood;
regretfully soon.

a long stretch
followed by a pausing yawn,
before trudging towards the door
into a delicious scent.

once hands wrap around the warmth
of a mug filled with wakeup,
