More awake within a dream

Once blissfully oblivious, now habitually ambitious
It’s the end of being that seems cursorily suspicious

We seem to be more awake within a dream
Holding on to the incoherent and arbitrary themes

Circumvent the authentic segments of what we see
While trace amounts accent the edges and set us free

No artificial talking heads on the TV screen
Or hypocritical chatter from the radio queens
In between endorsements for things we don’t need

Drift along an existential tide of empirical dilation
Let the slow drip ship harbor an ethereal elation
