Don’t ask me what’s wrong
All I want to do is cry
Days like the ones I see
Tell me there’s no need to try.

Don’t ask me what you can do
I won’t have to deny
The tears that freely flow
From my sorrowful eye.

Don’t ask me not to quit
When all my ideas have run dry
Writer’s block has hit again
And all I can do is sigh.
