Eulogy of love

The poison had permeated her body
It's a eulogy of love not a rhapsody

Slowly coursing through her vein
Hot blood had turned into pain

She buried her head in the pillow and wept
It was midnight but she hadn't slept

Her eyes blinded by burning tears
Because had come true all her fears

There's a constant ache in her heart
For her beloved had drifted apart

She had loved him since time immemorial
It's love that wouldn't end even after her burial

She couldn't help but lament her fate
At the hand of which, she had lost her soulmate.
