I'll meet you at the cemetery gate
down on Cumberland Road before the hearse.
The monument headstone will have to wait,
as swelling rage engulfs the morning sky
and willow claws to scribe a proper verse,
recording the devil's sour lullaby.
A murky fog descends upon the creek
when Charon sails across the River Styx,
amidst pervasive nauseating reek.
His vessel is laden with vagrant souls
summoned to atone for dastardly tricks,
and our names appear on the final scrolls.
I'll meet you at the cemetery gate
when murky fog descends upon the creek.
