Billiards is
The game of kings
Balls roll and spin
Strike one another

Sometimes in chaos
Sometimes things scatter
In pointless flight
And random chaos

Sometimes in beauty
And harmonious grace
To make the goal
And reach the pocket

The game is best
When inspiration
From guiding hand
Directs the day

Is life a game
Of random meeting
By chance alone
With other people

Or is life planned
By unseen player
To make an end
Not seen by us

Are we like spheres
Put into play
In God's celestial
Game of Kings?
