Pleasant Nightmare

It sleeps.

It sees. It hears. It feels the world and then it tries to...learn.

It learns to talk. It learns to walk. It learns that it is not...alone.

It gains some skill. It makes some friends. It learns the rules and tries to...fit.

It starts to change. The walls go up. The smile is a convenient...tool

It breaks.

It tries to stand. It sees the truth. The nightmare seems to have no...end.

It slips again. Gets hurt and weeps. It sees the mobs for what they...are.

And then it falls. A faceless form. A voiceless husk. A puppet without....strings.

But then...it dreams.

It dreams of light. Of hopeful times. of greater deeds, a fresh new...start.

It wakes. It takes a step. It hesitates and then it...runs.

It will not bend. It will not stop. Its heart beats fast. It will...evolve.

To steeper heights. To brighter days. The nightmare lit a...flame.

A roaring blaze that lifts the gloom and tints the world with specs of...gold.

It sleeps again.

The nightmares come. It doesn't flinch. It welcomes them with...warmth.

From trial comes triumph. From dusk, a dawn. A legend...has begun.
