A tale about a young wizard who is becoming famous for his miraculous potions |
A letter: “Dear Mister Wiz, I heard about your magical potion from a fellow friend of mine who happened to be your first customer. She told me it is extremely effective and that she can swim again. I was surprised and thus, wonder if I could ask you for a favour? If no, you can just ignore my asking. But if yes, I would like to ask you to create a potion that can help rid of my terrible nightmares. You see, after a traumatic accident, I have been encountering with bad dreams and I am in need of good sleep for the sake of my family. Please, Mister Wiz. Please help me. Once you are done, whistle using this flute and my personal owl will come to collect it. I thank you so much, Mister Wiz. Wish you all the best. Yours sincerely, Sir Hendrick. (Meanwhile, inside a small cosy hut, a young wizard is in the process of making a “Sweet Dream” shampoo….) Hum, hum, hum…….. Three table spoons of stardust, A pinch of rainbow light, Half a table spoon of moon wax, A bottle of sparkling water from the Fairies Mountain, And a handful of kiddie’s candies. Then, stir all the ingredients together. And lastly, in order to transform this mixture, I will need the voice of the sea. Hmm, the voice of the sea will be the mermaids’ lullaby. Right, when will they start singing? Well, probably after the sun sets. Alrightey, I probably need to head to that place now. The Maerd Lake. It might take around half an hour to reach from here. “Brother!” My younger sister calls out as I am about to dash out from the hut. “Yes, Ana?” I reply back. “Have a safe trip and… Come back soon,” Ana says quietly, as if she is begging me not to go but I have to. For both our sake. “Don’t worry, Ana! I’ll be back without you realize it,” I reply, reassuring her that everything will be fine. After that, I leave the hut and be on my way to the lake. Just to warn you though, mermaids are not what you think. (To be continued….) |
