Being alone is dangerous. Your thoughts roam freely and seem to start yelling. They tell you horrible things that make your stomach twist. You squeeze your eyes shut and place your hands over your ears as if that will block them out. But it won't. They slitter around like snakes and wrap around you so tight, you can barely breathe. Then the light sound of someone calling your name. Your friend comes into the room and smiles at you. They are the light in your dark, dark world. They have no idea that they have just calmed the snakes and the voices are longer yelling.
