I have a Dark Horse.
He follows me around,
His face to the ground –
He’s nameless.
He walks with an unassuming gait,
His hooves heavy with his weight.
My Dark horse and I
Find ways to entertain ourselves
In damp streets and crowded bars
He towers over me,
But we are never far apart.
At night we watch the stars,
Me and my dark horse.
It seems we stare at them for hours.
My dark horse sleeps
At the foot of my bed,
His tail wrapped around the legs
As I dream of wicked things,
Cold beneath the sheets
I do not doubt,
