A poem about losing a loved one.
Honeybees buzz through the grimy air,
Wings turned to lead.
The sun smothered by the clouds,
Makes all the flowers wither,
Except one lone Jasmine blossom.

Your sweet fragrance masks the miasma,
That plagues the dull Earth.
Your petals so elegant and charming,
Radiates light and hope to all that is around.

Auroras in the north sky,
Sunsets at dusk and dawn,
Mountains, rivers, meadows,
Nothing compares to your beauty,
More natural than Mother Nature,
More entrancing than the forbidden fruit.

Orchestral symphonies,
Are like faint whispers of the wind,
Compared to your melodious voice.

But the ravage wind, full of greed,
Snapped you off your stem,
And swept you far away,
From your own home.

Return to me, sweet Jasmine.
Remember all the memories we’ve shared,
All the times we’ve laughed,
How could you throw all of that away?

Return to me, sweet Jasmine.
