the pen is mightier than the sword, the remover of that pen is a mass murderer

"A loaf of bread, A jug of wine, and thou.",,,

At 3AM. "mere" words ? I think not. Where God hast said,"My people perish for a lack of (spiritual) knowledge? Surely Omar Khayyam's "The Rubaiyat" deserves to be dusted off and taken up once again to feed the weary, poetic soul.

And so, Here I sit, reading by candlelight Khayyam's words from 898 years ago....And I am sad. But not just from the words that both sadden and delight, But from the current predicament of egocentric toxic narcissism and evils pressed upon mankind, devoid of gentler and more choicesome words. Yes, I am sad.

Words are under attack, deemed hateful or even illegal. To remove the use of a word from a person who sees and feels the world through words is to rip their tongue from it's root. While the pen is mightier than the sword, the remover of that pen is a mass murderer to be certain.

Civilized homes had personal libraries. In the very least some piles of a few treasured books here or there throughout the house. Even a rough laborer would often be found with a leather-bound classic, tattered to no end.

Socialism, all the evil "isms" attack the words, From the Bible to the Classics, for this is the thread that binds us, once ripped, the garment of society becomes shameful and obscene, even denied of it's so called "obscenities". It is the availability of the pure word and the obscene word that frames it's purpose and message.

How can we choose right or wrong without both depicted to us? Hath not Jesus Christ himself said "Choose you this day whom you will serve?", because mankind had the knowledge from life experiences and from written words, THE WORD in fact, from scrolls tucked safely and carried as if it contained the vital organs of the bearer. "For where your treasure is, Your heart will be also". The wise knows this. Let us not lose, forget, or be constrained from our words by anyone or anything but ourselves.

Defend Our Words.
