A La'Tuin Poem about Loss
This poem is entered in "Invalid ItemOpen in new Window.

Awaken bright light, come close to me
September seemed to take us home
Those hummingbirds far flung, hurried past
Oak leaves soon danced around the trees

Christmas pudding challenge, pretty please
Closed booth calling, memory phone
I cried and swore you would be the last
Broken diamond, surprising ease

Callous drifting toward the murky seas
Set sail to be at last alone
Time stood still as pain held on too fast
Distant harbor horn sets one free

Hands slap down memories, honey bees
Hidden behind rocks, set in stone
Diamond shattered, destiny is cast
September died, all feeling ceased
