...a dream just prior to waking in the morning. |
I was in a workplace with a cubicle arrangement. Mom was working in a larger cubicle close by with two of her sisters (she has no sisters only twin brothers and one is deceased). They were sorting out their inheritance and working diligently in an attempt to leave out another sister (not allowing her to receive her due portion). That sister---of course---was absent. Mom's two sisters were together in the background, talking among themselves. I walked over to see mom and as I watched her on the telephone, she showed clear evidence of senility as she spoke to an official, pulling out an informational sheet (for use as an aid) that had nothing to do with the inheritance---it was more like an office listing of names and telephone numbers. I remember wondering about that... I went back to my cubicle to find dad had come in my absence and left a small gardening spade (shovel) on my desk, which he was returning to me. I had missed him. Then I went walking around the office, looking for my dad, trying to catch him before he left the building. ----------------------- God, what significance does this dream have in my life? I am thinking the building represents earth... and, perhaps, my dad was getting ready to leave. Him giving me back the shovel was an act of goodwill, an olive branch. My mother and her sisters were scheming to cheat someone out of their inheritance---though my mother did not seem to have all of her wits (mental faculties) about her. Therefore, it seems she was being manipulated. I pray God's will be done and ask for divine protection upon my parents---especially my mother---as others (through manipulation and control) seek to do wrong; and I pray for those seeking to do wrong through manipulation and control---may God prick their consciences and lead them toward Himself and away from all evil. I am reminded of the scripture, where Jesus admonishes us: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also... --Matthew 6:19-21 |
