in a Cornish Sonnet
Please, mystic stargazer, won’t you tell me
whence I should go to find my own true love?
I’ve followed Orion across the sea
from Manhattan to far-off Singapore.
Just show me some astral sign up above
which will guide me to that fortunate shore.

I will not have to face this world alone
if you’ll point me in the right direction.
Renowned soothsayer, make the truth be known,
and terminate all my romantic doubts
by scanning constellation trajection
before my youth wilts from these lonesome bouts.

Please, mystic stargazer, won’t you tell me
I will not have to face this world alone?
