I was inspired by my surroundings.
Him and Dan

He goes digging in a garbage can,
To find some food, for him and Dan.
They sleep on a blanket in a doorway,
They can hear the sounds, coming from the causeway.
They wake in the morning and move along,
Hoping to get some change, for a song.
For something hot to eat; and maybe a drink?
And perhaps - he could bathe himself, in a sink?
He didn't plan, to end up this way,
But, the things we do; we have to pay.
Don't judge him for what he's done in the past,
Those days are gone; they did not last.
Give him a chance, to get on his feet again;
If you can.

Him and Dan.
