Black queen,
Beauty bound by soul,
Why ask why
Beauty’s found in a rose?
As a seedling
In the womb of the earth,
Nature’s 360 degrees,
Blessed by its birth.
Like you precious angel,
It rises to the light blindly in the sky,
Destined for loveliness,
Its allure is far from shy.
Allow me a moment
To further explicate my thought,
Because the relevance of its attraction
Definitely needs to be taught:
You claim it “depicts such beauty,
But never does it last.”
However, like all great things, baby,
It too shall pass.
A roses resemblance to you is amazing:
Thorns mounted in its defence,As petals highlight its personality,
Allowing joy of the beholder to commence.
In a desire to show ones love, admiration, or affection,
Is it not the greatest gift to give the great goddess of Egypt
A mirror to take in all her splendour?
What God so masterfully rendered?
Only then can she see
What I see everyday.
This is exactly why
I’m sending a rose today.
