I am a Moon Child
And have been for 80 years
I live to see the Sunset and the Stars
And to hear the Waves crash
I walk along the Beaches and greet the dogs
And the people they walk
I haven’t seen the Beach in weeks
or maybe months
For now, I seem to be stuck
Expected to self administer poison
I’m the only one that seems to understand the pills won’t work
However
I can’t seem to remember what they’re for
Still, J’ne touche pas
Soon I will go back to my house on the Beach
And live like a petit bourgeois
I thank God for the beauty She placed in the Sky
When the white light gets brighter
And I watch the Sun set
