My Virtuous Woman

The scripture says when a man is fortunate he finds a wife

A woman who adds to—and not takes away from his life

I can truly say that I have found a woman who has no equal in price

A woman whose heart is for me—and by the way she looks really nice

A woman of integrity who has not caused my lot to spoil

A woman who has carried my yoke and lightened my toil

A woman who shuns evil in preference to good

A woman who inspires me to be the man I should

A woman who is like a merchant’s ship bringing goods from afar

A woman who a long time ago I wished for upon a star

As time passes and moments become but memories we store

I pray that in each I will have found ways to love her even more



May we continue to cherish each other's uniqueness? May we continue to share in life's joys and remain steadfast in comforting each other through life's tests?
