INTRODUCTION - SS Stargazer |
Stargazer Specifications SS Stargazer is a Galactic Class 1 Battlecruiser that has been fitted with a fusion drive propulsion system fueled by rilidium reactor circuits in its light speed drive assembly; this system is used for interplanetary and interstellar travel; maximum speed of all Galactic Class Ships is light factor 13, which can propel the Stargazer in multiples of light speed up to 102 times the speed of light, although with risk of damage to the hull or engines, and can be adjusted for sublight speed when used for propulsion. Impulse engines and thrusters are used for docking, maintenance, re-supply, and for maintaining orbit during planetary visitations. Warp drive research and development is in its infancy and is expected to continue over several decades. Current missions are designed for discovery and exploration of celestial bodies and other life forms by means of developing and expanding technology; current missions are limited to two years for the safety and comfort of the crew, and maintenance requirements. The Stargazer can maintain orbit and ferry its one shuttle to a planet's surface and back. The shuttle is equipped with a mini two-person rover as well as an array of scientific equipment to facilitate research and specimen collection; maximum shuttle capacity is 8 crew members. The battlecruiser can land on a planet where conditions meet requirements for a safe landing. The Stargazer has a larger pressurized all terrain rover which can cover greater distances with a maximum capacity of eight crew members. Transporter research and development is in its infancy and is expected to continue over several decades. Tactical systems consist of directed energy weapons and laser canons with a maximum range of 50,000 kilometers, adjustable in power increments to disable or blast apart targets in space or on a planet's surface. Phaser/Photon research and development is in its infancy and is expected to continue over several decades. All Galactic Class Ships are fitted with a rudimentary cloaking system which is linked to the fusion reactor drive. The cloaking system is an enormous energy drain on the ship's reactor, and is only capable of concealing the ship for limited periods. Protective Energy Shield research and development is in its infancy and is expected to continue over several decades. All Galaxy Class ships are designed with comfortable crew quarters, galleys, a medical department, administrative offices, recreational facilities, entertainment lounge, gym and spa, ship's stores, hair salons, cargo bay facilities, and one planetary rover. Crew complement is 225 personnel. Galactic Registry Number "NC-X1" Click to read Bio - Stargazer Captain Jon L. Foxwell "Star Voyagers " |
