This is a challenge. It’s pretty bad.
Alex walked slowly out of the house. All he could think about was why his girlfriend, Liara—well, now she was his ex, had said to him. “You idiot. You’ll never get a girlfriend if you keep getting mad at people so often.” He knew he had to do something. He knew even if they weren’t dating, he still needed Liara in his life, even if it was just as friends

Over the next few weeks, Alex attempted not to get mad at anyone. It had been difficult, Maria had repeatedly been wanting to play guess the number with him, and it had gotten annoying. Even when he did guess it, all she gave him was a rock. He had to fight fight back the urge to snap at her.
After he felt like he hadn’t fought with anyone for forever, he got up the courage to go ask Liara.

“Hey”
She glanced at him, “What do you want?”
“To... uhhh... hang out?”
She sighed. “Fine. I’m going to pick out a new floor for my house, and you can come.”
Alex smiled softly, and the two friends walked away..
