Watch for him in
the long black coat.
He comes real quickly
on the wind can float.

May be a friend,
that today you’ve seen,
but is dangerous and
mean on Halloween.

On that night of fright,
could be after you,
when he’s drank from
the cauldron of witches brew

Nobody ever knows
where he is or might be.
As you pass underneath…
could leap from a tree.

They say most likely,
to be within sight
shortly after the time
has passed midnight.

So be sure you’re home
before twelve O-clock,
or you might meet up
with that old Warlock
