Who wants to worry about wintry weather?
There are enough worries here to abide.
So when the sky offers thundersnow calling,
’tis Mother Nature wrapped up in her pride.
Slipping on ice is a hazard awaiting;
break out the rock salt for safety today.
Freeze is a thief that endangers the walking;
strict Mother Nature rime coming our way.
Then a dead car battery is a nuisance;
it grinds a little then silence rings clear.
Far off another Toyota in idle;
cold Mother Nature quite often is near.
So cancel lunch, I will not be attending;
I need a jump and the tow truck comes late.
Worry wells up with the winter persisting;
unkept appointments at noon are my fate.
All this as one more year moves like a race car;
better search out a less worrisome plan.
Maybe somebody can bury the worry;
I bet that my sleeping labrador can.
