Blue Avenue

I remember walking in the rain
Sounds of vehicles splashing by
Cold and lonely on that street
Wondering why I bother to cry

So many people share that town
Enjoying each other's company
I had more fingers then friends
It's so big a place to be so lonely

I was a stranger in that town
Hated by strangers I'd meet

No one likes the strange boy
A stranger I would always be

So I left that cold place
And became a stranger

In another town

The rain here feels the same
The cold stares are just as cold
Dreams fade and time slips by
And then just like that I got old

Sometimes I miss the cold streets
The sounds of a long lonely night
Sometimes I miss how close I was
To a heart and finding love's light

I was so lonely in that town
Around lonely people like me

Stay away from the lonely boy
And lonely I would always be

So I left that cold place
And now I'm lonely

In another town
