stood out from the crowd because she did not see a single face that
wasn't frightening her. The only one without a mask, was not twirling
and gliding to the music. She was the only face at the event that was
wearing her own. Exposed. She simply exited the crowd to find a wall
and shrink against it. And yet she still did not hide her face. She
knew despite how she felt about herself, she could never hide behind
one of those terrifying masks. She was not a liar. She may move away
from crowds, but not once has she done so without her true face
exposed. Hiding in plain site. That's what she had done and would
continue to do for what she imagined would the the rest of her
life...
