Life on a Farm

Climb on the tractor for a ride!
Spray the natural pesticide!
Plough a furrow straight and true
That's farm life for me and you!

Wake up at the crack of dawn
There's work to do, no time to yawn
Fill the pails, empty the nest
This country life is the best!

Light the logs so the fire burns
Fetch the water, work the churns
Indoors when stormy, out when calm
That is life on a farm!

The bright blue sky overhead
Time to whitewash the shed
Fill the bucket from the well
Farm life's the best, we can tell!

When you live so close to nature
You can't help grow in stature
There's so much work and so much fun
To be had before the day is done
