"...Was so gallantly streaming"

I never thought about it happening. The World Trade Center was just constant. Unaging, unmoving, a permanent part of the New York. And the Pentagon. The symbol of military strength, the ultimate master of war, complete commanding power. The businessman has fallen and the soldier is on crutches. It would have been fine if they were empty, but that would have never happened. Buildings can be replaced. But the lives lost will make a hole bigger than the one in the skyline.

The only option to the government is a war of retribution. But is an eye for an eye really right? I think the eyes we will poke out may be more than the number of the already half-blind.
