COWBOY We had been looking for a pup Not sure just what kind I did not want one that fit in a cup My son wanted one with great personality! He came to us just under eight weeks old His name, Cowboy, we were told A mix of Lab, Boxer and Pit Oh my goodness what a mix. We knew we would have lots of work on our hands Potty training, walking, and many talks Yes, good boy, no, don't touch; stop! Cowboy is learning our demands. Cowboy is now three months old Big boy he is, getting bigger and bigger Growing, learning, testing; becoming more bold With him getting bigger comes more vigor! He loves to play tug-a-war Chew on anything and everything in site He has his moments where he gets frisky One might think someone slipped him a whisky! His coloring is exquisite Mostly black, some white; touches of brown His personality is that of a circus clown I cannot imagine him ever causing me to frown. Cowboy, Cowboy – oh what a delight Bringing us much happiness, much joy You are definitely our delightful boy! 12.7.2020 by Seabreeze Update: 7.10.2021 We call him Cowboy and so appropriately named A runner, jumper, twister when on his game I think he could be a sheep or cattle dog; they would obey Selecting, cutting out, casting of his prey It is all part of the job, the work of the day. Now Cowboy has some peculiar traits He likes tree leaves and to chew on wood; some he ate Does not seem to matter the size or kind But he will give it his best chew and leave a few behind. And get back to business unless he stumbles across a feline. Now, about those tree leaves, when they swing in the breeze Cowboy get excited and jumps with such ease He jumps so high that he takes the leaves out I am hoping he won't put one up his snout. But the jump to gather leaves is what it is all about! 7.10.2021 Seabreeze |
