Losing faith in humanity

Life’s a mess and it's too heavy to hold
Pain in my heart makes my chest want to explode

I see the cold people that are in this place
I have nowhere to run, I have no space

People are angry, hateful beings
The thought of death, to me, is freeing

People are self absorbed; they don’t care that you hurt
They run me into the ground and drag my soul through the dirt

People are cruel and it hurts my heart
The world is broken with no way to restart

People are angry with the worst intentions
Most of the world needs an intervention

People are blind; they are remorseless
I’m sick of being treated like I’m worthless

People are insensitive and try to tear others down
I’m struggling to keep going but I’m starting to drown

People wouldn’t understand the depth of my despair
They couldn’t even act like they care

This world is damaged; it will never get better
The pain in my heart is too heavy to measure
