Armed Forces Day Tribute

Today is Armed Forces Day.
A tribute to soldiers sent away,
Their parents nerves fray,
As they are stationed all over the world.

God be with the young men and women
Who leave home shortly after they graduate.
With hearts of gold, their stories unfold,
They bravely rush out to meet their fate.

To home, some may never return.
They have given all for their country.
Some may lose a limb or burn.
They pay the price for us to be free.

We can not take for granted the price
That many have paid before us;
Many have made a huge sacrifice.
Freedom’s importance, they never lost focus.

Our freedom is not free.
People paid for the right for me.
Thank God for our military,
Who are stationed all over the world.
