The Rising Stars Assignment is "All the News that's Fit to Print. This is for Week #4 |
738 Words Introduction Monique Avery Desantes uses her imagination for the betterment of the people. With her skills as a master investigator, the impossible becomes possible. Even though her methods are unbelievable, she's the one to call. Monique Avery Desantes was laughed at because everyone thought that she was crazy. There's a certain mysteriousness about her that drives people away. She is a master detective in her own right. This means that she will do an investigation into why people act the way they do. Content in living in a peaceful existence, she will find a way to make them happy and full of joy. Her ways are unbelievable to a great majority of the people. By using her imagination, why would anyone believe her? To them, it appears to be utter nonsense. First Case Monique's first case was about a flying object. Thought to be seen as a brightly lit teaspoon, the size of an airplane flickered on and off like a strobe light at a dance. What sort of object was this? Where did it come from, and what was its purpose for being here? Monique let her imagination go wild. A variety of teaspoons, created by her, was effervescent in nature. Blending well with the atmospheric twinkling of an astrological sign, the brightly lit teaspoon couldn't tell that the other teaspoons were floating about in the air. Her purpose for the teaspoons was to attach themselves to the mysterious object, while the other ones, resembling a very tiny drone, were about the size of a microscopic organism. To find out what was going on inside, a camera was attached to it. Wow! Monique made a discovery! The little teaspoon held an enormous amount of the freshest water that anyone could ask for. This was unique because it was held in the tail-end of the spoon. When you treat people the way that they're supposed to be treated, with respect and honesty, the various teaspoons found that you would be supplied with a lifetime of the freshest water that was ever imaginable. In this case, no one would have predicted this to be true. Case solved. Second Case The Cottonwood Tradition of the Stubborn Donkey The cottonwood tradition of the stubborn donkey was bound to cause an uproar in the town of Burros Ville, Canada. Throughout this town, it all started with the bray of a donkey. The absurdity of all this was way too much for the people to handle. What was the commotion all about? To handle the case, they called on Monique Avery Desantis. Of course, she was willing to help this town! Moniques best tool was her imagination. She created a donkey that could fly. Heard high in the sky, the flying donkey sent forth the sound of a bray, by transmitting a signal to the stubborn donkey made of cotton, to muffle the sound of the bray. Why would the flying donkey do such a thing? It couldn't stand the sound of the bray. Complaining about the sound, too many people created such a stir, that it literally drove people out of their minds. Through her investigation, Monique found that the stubborn donkey made of cotton had a lump in its throat that needed some attention. The problem was due to the donkey's bray sound; nobody wanted to go near it. The flying donkey was sent by Monique to muffle its sound so that the people of Burros Ville, Canada, could get some peace. To take care of the lump in its throat, the stubborn donkey made of cotton, once this was accomplished, could get the best care it needed. When the donkey's bray was taken care of, the bray of happiness came forth; joy and happiness returned once again to the townspeople. Things were back to the normalcy that once was. Case solved. Two cases, ridiculous as it sounds, were solved by Monique Avery Desantis, the mystery detective. The first case supplied the freshest water for a lifetime, while the second case, taking a bit longer, ended up with the happy bray from the stubborn donkey made of cotton. The town returned to normalcy, and the townspeople were happy. For taking care of the problem, the donkey was forever grateful to Monique Avery Desantis. No matter how ridiculous it seems, if you want to have your case solved, she is the one to call. Written by Anna Marie Carlson Thursday, July 22, 2021 |
