A man suffers from a severe headache and looks for some reprieve in his beloved nose candy
My head was pounding to be anywhere that was outside of my skull. A dull ever-present pain rolled over me in waves and blurred my vision. I was in no state to enjoy my burger. I made my way to the bathroom to powder my nose. It had been too long since I enjoyed some Colombian sugar.

I made sure that I was alone before I cut myself a line. Once it was in, it wouldn't matter who came in through the door; I'd be in heaven. I rolled up the crummy five dollar bill I had in my pocket and quickly inhaled the heavenly powder.

My head instantly felt lighter. Everything did. I felt like I could fly and touch the clouds. Nothing mattered anymore except that beautiful rush that was flowing throughout every vein in my body. This was the good stuff.

I sauntered over to the door, feeling myself float rather than walk. The door handle felt amazing, and so did the sounds of the handle's springs creaking as they turned. Warm light flooded my vision, and I was once again in the busy fast-food joint. Instead of the usual murmur of talking chipping away at my patience I was welcomed by a comforting silence. A comforting silence?

I wanted to feel fear when I saw the robber pointing his pistol at me, but I felt nothing less than serene. You're in trouble now, I thought. They shouted something and hit me across the face sending me to the floor. My head was pounding to be anywhere that was outside of my skull. A dull ever-present pain rolled over me in waves and blurred my vision.

I was in no state to enjoy my burger.
